Play Sample This stand-alone audio yoga class offers practice for all levels, especially those beginning yoga, as well as those experienced students who prefer a moderate, rather than challenging, session. The instruction is articulate and very precise, easily understood by newcomers.
Maggie’s voice quality is soothing and warm, providing safety and confidence. Included is a photo picture pull-out which shows the poses covered in the session. Introductory and background music add mood and encouragement to the practitioner. There are 5 tracks that make up the 70 minute session. The student can tailor the practice according to time schedule and energy level. Why “Ease into Yoga?” Maggie comments:
“Patanjali, authority on Yoga, of centuries ago, specified that yoga should be practiced without strain and with a sense of ease.
“This makes perfect scientific sense. By combining a movement with breath and doing it slowly and with a deepening relaxation, muscles can stretch well. In contrast a hurried or jerky movement can cause injury to the muscles and joints of the body. So we cultivate that sense of ease throughout the practice, even though at times certain postures and movements require intense focus and determination. That sense of ease also enhances the sheer pleasure and enjoyment of doing yoga!” Artist Bio: Maggie Mellor loves to introduce people to the joys of practicing Yoga. She began her study of Yoga as a young teen. Her passion for this ancient health practice led her to obtain teaching certification from the Sivananda School of Yoga.
