deva premal Artist Bio: Lauren Peterson, R.Y.T., is a well-respected yoga teacher living in Malibu, Calif.  She is a student of Iyengar yoga, and an advanced Ashtanga yoga practitioner.  Lauren is regularly featured in Yoga Journal Magazine, and can be seen in, and on the cover of, Yoga Journal’s 2001 calendar with Rodney Yee, Richard Freeman and Sarah Powers.    She will soon be featured in a coffee-table style book of postures that Yoga Journal is creating.  Lauren also started a yoga program for women dealing with eating disorders at the Monte Nido Eating Disorders Center in Southern California.  For more information on eating disorders go to: Eating Disorder Referral And Information Center Lauren Peterson is one of the few advanced (Fourth Series) ashtanga yoga practitioners in the US, and her client base includes many entertainers and athletes (Cher, Nick Nolte and Greg Louganis among them).
