Don Peyote & Rezin - BETWEEN WORLDS
 Play Sample Between Worlds is an experiential, earthly ambient journey into the depths of the rainforest. The sonic atmosphere of this CD features electronic textures; live field recordings; didgeridoo, mbira and shamanic percussive elements.
This meditative composition by Don Peyote and Rezin is a synaesthetic foray into the heart of the planet and is dedicated to Gaia and the preservation ecological balance.
Between Worlds evokes a sense of wonder at the natural world, stirring dim memories of the ancestral origins of music.
Bringing together elements of the Amazonian and the Australian rainforest, this atmospheric compostion is a meditative excursion dedicated to the planet, earth medicine, and to the preservation of biodiversity and ecological balance.
Created and produced at the Don Peyote Studio in Melbourne, Australia during Feb/March 2004, Between Worlds is the first collaborative project of Yvon Mounier and Naasko Sufi'ad and was inspired by a shared interest in shamanism, sound healing, altered states, dreaming and synaesthesia. Artist Bio: | : Yvon Mounier aka Don Peyote has been living in Australia for over 30 years and has been producing music since the mid 80's. Operating from his own in-house studio in Melbourne and amidst an extensive array of world-influenced dub, downtempo and ambient compositions, he has produced 3 albums for Australian didgeridoo expert Ganga Giri and has also composed diverse soundtracks for television documentaries, various films and in-flight audio entertainment programs. Naasko Sufi'ad aka Rezin has been working with Interchill Records for the past 5 years and most recently with BC-based Native State Records. As project developer for Invisible Productions he organizes the Liminal Village conference area at the Boom Festival in Portugal bi-annually and in the meantime is a DJ, event organizer, photographer and multi-media project designer. |
